PREMIERE: Loverground Shares New EP “My Love Is True”

In his new EP release, “My Love is True,” London-based producer, Kevin Erlitcher aka Loverground explores whirlwind-intimacy and the flux of emotions that manifest. Drawing inspiration from his daily-life and personal experiences, the EP is a vulnerable reflection of love, whereby the groovy warmth of the beats and the sultry nostalgia of Erlitcher’s reverberated vocals act as a vehicle to reawaken those summer fling memories.

“In both life and music, I think honesty is the most important value. ”My Love Is True” is my first attempt at delivering the realest and most honest music I could produce.” Loverground

Apart from vulnerability, the 5-track EP does not fall short on creativity. Proclaimed a combination of sweaty club atmospheres and the pulsating freshness of the busy London streets, the EP celebrates diversity in identity and sound. While more pop/rnb than his first EP, “Whatever Happens, Happens”, released on Majestic Casual, Loverground’s creative exploration goes a step further. On the focus single, “Your Body/Mind”, Loverground samples the chorus of Yo Gotti’s, “Errrbody,” just one of the instances in the EP which the artist explores his long-held love for hip hop. Hip hop is also synonymous with flexing, a love and celebration of oneself, a perfect fit for the track in which Erlitcher implores the listener to focus on their mind and body, a mantra of self love and appreciation. The careful scattering of gems like this, and Erlitcher’s ability to seamlessly blend so many diverse sounds is a testament to his prowess and an ode to the melting-pot of London.

There is something for everyone on this EP, and the universality of the theme is what invites you to fall in love with the project. Lovergound’s unique sound offers itself as a tool at the audiences’ disposal, the EP acting as a canvas for the audience to fill with their own interpretations and experiences of love.
