Already proving an innovator in providing support during the pandemic with their monthly “Bandcamp Friday” event giving 100% of sales on their platform directly to artists, they have now announced a new ticketed livestream feature called “Bandcamp Live”.
The streaming service provides a platform for fans to directly support their favorite artists, with automatic notifications being sent out when an artist they follow announces a show. Artists can also sell their merch and music from a virtual merch table, and there is an optional chat box integrated into the platform.
Artists are able to set prices and sell tickets to the exclusive livestreams for free, with a 10% fee going to Bandcamp from March 31st, 2021 onward.
