PREMIERE: Loverground Shares Lo-Fi House EP ‘Whatever Happens, Happens’

Today, SE London based French/Argentinian producer Loverground celebrates the release of his new EP, titled ‘Whatever Happens, Happens’. The 6 track, house influenced release features previously released singles ‘Be Patient’, ‘Pup Slushy’ and the EP title-track ‘Whatever Happens, Happens’, alongside 3 new tracks, released on Majestic Casual.

Channeling artists like DJ Poolboi, Ross from Friends and Toro Y Moi, Loverground has created a well-rounded compilation of tracks which represent his personal experiences over the past year – “I see it as a series of advice I give myself, a record of lessons learned. I learned the importance of being patient, that good things take time and that time heals everything. I learned to let go of control and expectations, and that whatever happens, it happens for the best.

The lead single for the EP ‘Froggy Style’ reflects the overall positive nature of Loverground‘s approach, with themes of love, riding on a joyful instrumental backdrop. On the single, Loverground explains: “I have a little toy frog in my bedroom studio in SE London. Every time I feel uninspired I turn him around so it faces the wall, and tell him that I will turn him back the other way once I come up with a good idea. It has worked many times so I decided to dedicate this song to him. He seems pretty chill and unbothered, and I thought this was the perfect track for him. You can hear Lauryn Hill in the background talking about deep topics like love and God, which I think is the perfect fit for this laidback and meme-sounding track.”

Having already garnered support from Complex, This Song Is Sick, David Dean Burkhart, Clash BBC Radio London and more, as well as racking up millions of streams, Kevin Erlicher is proving to have found a home for his output under the Loverground moniker.
